Meet Tammy L Corrales, MA, LPC-S
At Wilco Therapist, our mission is simple: to help you build a life grounded in self-awareness, resilience, and balance.
Tammy’s passion for psychotherapy stems from a lifelong fascination with the mind and a deep desire to help others navigate life’s most challenging moments. With expertise in complex trauma, eating disorders, parenting challenges, and relationship dynamics (including divorce and co-parenting), Tammy combines a compassionate approach with evidence-based practices, as well as microcurrent neurofeedback and trauma-informed psychotherapy. This integrated approach is designed to support healing and encourage growth at a pace that works for you.
Tammy holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Texas at Austin (1999) and a Master of Arts in Psychology from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor (2002). She is a licensed Professional Counselor through the Texas State Board of Examiners of Professional Counselors, a division of the Texas Behavioral Health Executive Counsel.
With extensive experience across diverse settings, Tammy has worked with families in adjudication centers, family shelters, foster care, treatment centers, and public schools. She has also taught undergraduate courses in general and developmental psychology as an Adjunct Professor at both the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor and Temple College.
In 2008, Tammy served as the Clinical Director of a new treatment facility in Austin, where she specialized in eating disorder treatment and developed program curricula. For the past 20 years, she has maintained a private practice, collaborating with mental health professionals and legal experts to establish therapeutic standards for families involved in high-conflict divorce disputes.
Passionate about educating parents, teachers, and community members, Tammy frequently presents at college campuses, professional conferences, and community events. Her specialized training includes dispute resolution, collaborative law, attachment, trauma intervention, and various modalities for treating eating disorders.
